A minimum of 1.27µm (50 micro-inches) of pure gold is plated over a minimum of 2.54µm (100 micro-inches) nickel to assure two thousand mating cycles of durability (when using Sentinel jacks and plugs). The phosphor bronze contact material maintains the required interface normal force over the expected life of the product and medical grade UL 94V-0 Lexan plug body exceeds industry standards of 94V-1.
